Helping Families Cope with Addiction
Free Educational Support Group for Women With a Loved One With an Addiction at Mahwah Library
(Paramus, NJ) August 20, 2019 – The Center for Alcohol and Drug Resources, a program of Children’s Aid and Family Services, is presenting the Community Reinforcement and Family Training (CRAFT) educational support group for women with a loved one struggling with addiction. This is an educational support group that includes a guidebook and homework assignments to improve communication in the family and with the person who is misusing substances. Topics include setting positive goals, developing positive communication techniques, identifying triggers and motivators, and helping your loved to one enter treatment and engage in recovery.
The group is free and all materials are provided. It will meet at the Mahwah Library, 100 Ridge Road in Mahwah, NJ, on six consecutive Wednesdays from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. from September 11 through October 16, 2019. To register, call The Center for Alcohol and Drug Resources at 201-740-7069.
