STRIVE Members Love Their New Space

With generous support from The Palestroni Foundation, the Elaine Adler Toy Library has been transformed into a vibrant Media Center where STRIVE members build digital literacy skills and connect with each other.
From Nintendo Switch and Just Dance to Mario Kart, books, and fitness games, members are thrilled with the options. “It feels like a game room, active and social,” says Mika.
Bren adds, “I get more steps in doing fitness games, and I play Dance Mat to help me type better.” Chris enjoys the books and video games, while Jeremy finds it “a good place to relax and play a game.”
Support Coach Ruslin appreciates it, too. “The Media Center has a variety of activities, and there’s something for everyone. The members look forward to using it.”
“Thanks to The Palestroni Foundation, this space is already inspiring creativity, learning, and joy for our members,” says Shavonda E. Sumter, President and CEO.
As the space continues to grow, we’re hoping to expand our collection of games. If you’d like to donate new or gently used Nintendo Switch or PlayStation games (rated E), our members would be delighted! Please contact Jessica Ecker, Vice President of Development at 201-740-7101 for more information.
