Children’s Aid and Family Services Receives Donation of Over 60,000 Huggies® diapers

to mark National Diaper Bank Network’s 15th anniversary

(Paramus, NJ) January 28, 2026 – Children’s Aid and Family Services’ Baby Basics program recently received over 60,000 diapers through a national initiative by Huggies®, a Kimberly-Clark brand, and the National Diaper Bank Network (NDBN). In honor of NDBN’s 15th anniversary, 15 million Huggies® diapers were distributed to diaper banks nationwide in 15 days.

“We are proud to be selected for this honor, and overjoyed that we’ll be able to help more babies stay healthy and happy in 2026,” said Shavonda E. Sumter, President and CEO. “This has been one of the largest donations of diapers that Children’s Aid and Family Services has ever received.”

“A portion of this anniversary donation has been reserved for ‘small but mighty’ NDBN members like Children’s Aid and Family Services, who we know are making amazing use of every resource they get to serve children and families in their communities,” said NDBN CEO Joanne Samuel Goldblum.

This donation of Huggies® diapers will be used to benefit the agency’s Baby Basics program, which serves young families who are struggling with diaper need in northern New Jersey. “The number of families we serve is a direct result of the donations we receive, and the generosity of Huggies® will help us to meet the ever-increasing diaper need in our community,” continued Mrs. Sumter. “In 2025, we served over 700 babies and their families, and through the support of generous partners like Huggies, we aim to serve even more this year.”

The NDBN Diaper Check survey consistently shows that nearly half (47%) of U.S. families with young children cannot afford the diapers their children need. “Our research proves that babies are healthier and parents are more successful when diaper banks help with this basic need,” said Goldblum. “Addressing diaper insecurity sets us up for a future where every family is positioned to thrive.”

Since NDBN’s founding in 2011, Huggies® has donated more than 300 million diapers to the nonprofit and its member basic needs banks. Through an expanded partnership, Huggies® will donate a total of 75 million diapers to NDBN over three years.
