Kinship Navigator Program

Kinship caregivers are individuals who step in to care for children within their family or close network, including siblings, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, or the child of a close friend.

The Kinship Navigator Program connects caregivers raising relative or close family children with the information, referrals, financial assistance, and legal support they need. The program is designed to help families access services that promote family stability, well-being, and long-term success for both caregivers and children.

Through personalized support, Kinship staff help caregivers navigate community resources, determine eligibility for available benefits, and access practical assistance for a child’s immediate and ongoing needs.

Eligibility

  • Caregivers with children 0-18 up to 21 with a disability in their care
  • Families living in Essex County
