A Young Leader’s Mission to Prevent Overdose and Reduce Stigma

Children’s Aid and Family Services is proud to celebrate young leaders like Allison Colla, a rising senior at Pascack Hills High School, whose Girl Scout Gold Award project, Spray Safe, is making a meaningful impact on overdose prevention and education across Bergen County.

Through partnerships with community organizations—including The Center for Alcohol and Drug Resources—Allison has distributed more than 380 naloxone (Narcan) kits, trained students, lifeguards, and community members to recognize and respond to opioid overdoses, and developed educational resources that will continue to benefit future students.
