The early days of fall are a good time to look back at summer memories. To celebrate summer, the new mother’s support group at Zoe’s Place held their last session of the season at Keansburg Beach, Boardwalk and Amusement Park in Monmouth County, NJ. The trip was a special opportunity for the group to take a day to relax in the sunshine and bond with each other on a beautiful summer day. For some of the young women, it was their first trip to the beach with their babies.
The new mothers support group is co-facilitated by Yvelisse Gonzalez, Perinatal Mental Health Coordinator, Partnership for Maternal and Child Health of Northern New Jersey, Jenny Stratton, Children’s Aid & Family Services’ Lewis Hine Fellow, and a peer mentor past resident of Zoe’s Place.
