Post Adoption Counseling Services (PACS)

Program Overview

Post Adoption Counseling Services is available to ANY family that resides in Bergen, Passaic or Essex Counties and has an adopted child under the age of 18. Services may include individual, family therapy/counseling, supportive and group services and educational meetings. This program is funded through IVB funds "Promoting Safe and Stable Families". Through the Division of Youth and Family Services. Although the majority of adopted children adjust well to their adoptive status, there are a considerable number of families that face challenges that are unique to the adoption experience.

PACS specializes in the clinical concerns of adoption including: identity issues; loss and separation; curiosity about origins; and feelings about differences. Families are charged no fees for this service. Services are offered at our locations in Ridgewood and South Orange. If you are interested in live in the areas identified, please contact the program director at 973.763.2041 Ext. 203.
