(Paramus, NJ) February 27, 2015 – The all-volunteer-run Depot Craft and Gift Shop in Midland Park is hosting an Open House on Thursday, March 19, 2015 from 9:30 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Author Patricia Cardello will be there from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. signing copies of her book, “The Magical Tale of Easter Bunny Dust – An Easter Bunny Tradition.” Every customer will receive a “Lucky” egg that contains a mystery coupon. Refreshments will be served all day, including wine from 4:00 p.m.– 8:00 p.m, as part of the store’s monthly “Sip & Shop” event held on the third Thursday of each month.

The Open House launches the 50th anniversary year of The Depot, which was formed by a group of volunteers in the Ridgewood Train Station in 1965 to support Family Counseling Service of Ridgewood (later Children’s Aid and Family Services). The Depot continues to be entirely staffed by volunteers today, and its mission also includes supporting the crafters and artisans whose merchandise fills the store. The organization has donated more than $3 million to the agency through the years, helping countless vulnerable children and families in our community. It has become a destination store because of the one-of-a-kind wares it offers. There will be more activities throughout the year in celebration of The Depot’s 50th anniversary.

The Depot is located at 22 Prospect Street in Midland Park, NJ. Please call 201-444-6120 for more information.
