Children’s Aid and Family Services’ Baby Basics program relies on community support to provide free nutritional formula and diapers to low-income families with children ages newborn through 2 years. The agency recently received donations from CME Group Community Foundation and the TJX Foundation for the Baby Basics program.
“The Baby Basics program was founded by volunteers at West Side Presbyterian Church in Ridgewood to help local working families that are struggling to manage all of their bills and provide for their children,” says Jerrold Binney, President & CEO of Children’s Aid and Family Services. “The program has grown over the years, and today it distributes more than 200,000 diapers every year. In 2014, we served 172 children and their families. We couldn’t provide this support without the generous contributions of the CME Group Community Foundation and the TJX Foundation.”
