(Paramus, NJ) – July 5, 2016 – John Molinelli, the recently retired Bergen County Prosecutor, donated the proceeds from his recent John F. Kennedy Award from the borough of Woodcliff Lake, NJ to The Center for Alcohol and Drug Resources, a program of Children’s Aid and Family Services, in support of the Recovery Coach Academy. The Recovery Coach Academy is comprised of volunteer coaches, individuals in long-term recovery, who are dispatched to area hospitals to support people who have been revived with Narcan after an opioid overdose. The Center for Alcohol and Drug Resources is in the process of training the coaches.
Mr. Molinelli, now a partner with Price, Meese, Shulman & D’Arminio, launched the program in partnership with The Center for Alcohol and Drug Resources while he served as Bergen County Prosecutor. The Center is now working closely with Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal and his team to build on Mr. Molinelli’s vision and implement the program and coordinate efforts with emergency services and area hospitals.
“As Bergen County Prosecutor, Mr. Molinelli worked tirelessly to help fight against the crisis of heroin addiction in our community,” says Jerry Binney, President & CEO of Children’s Aid and Family Services. “We are so grateful for his continued support and strong belief in the Recovery Coach Academy.”
