(Paramus, NJ) January 20, 2017 – Turrell Child Care & Early Learning Center, a program of Children’s Aid and Family Services, received a grant from the Copper Beech Foundation to replace its two playground safety surfaces. The project received additional support from employee volunteers from SUEZ, who demolished the previous surfaces, which had been in place for nearly 20 years. More than 280 students and campers attend the Turrell Center a year; 50% of the children are from low-income families and receive scholarship assistance.
“Our priority is the safety of the children that attend the Turrell Center,” says Jerry Binney, President & CEO of Children’s Aid and Family Services. “The new safety surfacing is a tremendous improvement to the Turrell Center and will help keep the children safe and active. We are very grateful to the Copper Beech Foundation and the employees from SUEZ for their enormous contributions to this project.”
