(Paramus, NJ) July 2, 2013 – Macy’s will partner with Children’s Aid and Family Services to invite customers to participate in Macy’s eighth annual national “Shop For A Cause” charity shopping event on Saturday, August 24, 2013. Customers can purchase shopping passes from Children’s Aid and Family Services now.
Macy’s “Shop For A Cause” is a unique one-day-only shopping event created to support local charities’ fundraising efforts, which has helped raised more than $46 million for charities across the country since 2006.
Macy’s has provided Children’s Aid and Family Services with shopping passes to sell for $5 each. Children’s Aid and Family Serviceswill keep 100 percent of every shopping pass it sells. “We are grateful to Macy’s for this opportunity to raise funds to help the vulnerable children and families we serve,” says Bob Jones, Ph.D., president & CEO of Children’s Aid and Family Services. “Customers will be helping us provide adoption and foster care services, early childhood education to low-income families, services for children with developmental disabilities and community prevention programs about substance abuse.”
