About the honorees

The Oros’s and the Campbells are recipients of “Congressional Angels in Adoption” awards.

Anne and John Oros

Ridgewood residents Anne and John Oros are longtime foster parents with Children’s Aid and Family Services. In addition to their four birth children, they have cared for 26 foster children and their adopted son, Alquon. They remain in touch with many of the children they have fostered. The Oros’s are passionate advocates for children in foster care and serve as a trusted resource to other foster parents. Mrs. Oros also serves on the agency’s Board of Trustees.

Shea and George Campbell

Waldwick residents Shea and George Campbell have opened their home to 121 babies in foster care during a 30-year period. In addition to their birth children, they have adopted one child.

Mrs. Campbell became interested in fostering when she saw an article in a church bulletin about the need for foster parents. She and her husband so enjoyed caring for foster children that they continued for many years. Mrs. Campbell joined Children’s Aid and Family Services in 2005 as an adoption specialist and now provides support, guidance and the wisdom obtained from many years of fostering, to other foster and adoptive parents.

Boiling Springs Savings Bank

It has been a strong supporter of Children’s Aid and Family Services.  Boiling Springs Savings Bank has sponsored many of the agency’s fundraising events.
