(Paramus, NJ) February 14, 2014 – Children’s Aid and Family Services’ Baby Basics program relies on community support to provide free nutritional formula and diapers to low-income families with children ages newborn through 2 years. The agency recently received donations from West Side Presbyterian Church, CME Group Community Foundation, the Investors Foundation and St. Elizabeth’s Church in Ridgewood for the Baby Basics program.
“The Baby Basics program was founded by volunteers at West Side Presbyterian Church to help local working families that are struggling to manage all of their bills and provide for their families,” says Bob Jones, Ph.D., President & CEO of Children’s Aid and Family Services. “The program has grown over the years, and today it distributes more than 200,000 diapers every year. We offer a desperately needed safety net to families that helps ensure their babies remain healthy and well-nourished. We couldn’t provide this vital support without the generous contributions of West Side Presbyterian Church, CME Group Community Foundation, the Investors Foundation and St. Elizabeth’s Church. We are enormously grateful for their support.”
