Vulnerable Teens Helped by Savvy Chic Consignment Boutique
(Paramus, NJ) March 24, 2014 -- Savvy Chic Consignment Boutique, along with Platinum Consulting, hosted a grand relocation shopping celebration event, with a portion of all sales benefitting Zoe’s Place, a program of Children’s Aid and Family Services. The mission of Zoe’s Place is to provide safe, supervised housing for pregnant teens and teen moms and their children, and to meet the need for critical education, skills and support services that will enable the teens to become self-sufficient.
The evening included a fashion show that featured young mothers who live at Zoe’s Place. The career clothes were discounted by Randi Morein, owner of Savvy Chic. Shoppers made donations to purchase the outfits for the mothers, who will wear them during job interviews.
“We’re extremely grateful to Savvy Chic and Platinum Consulting for their generous support of our mission,” says Bob Jones, Ph.D., President & CEO of Children’s Aid and Family Services. “I’m also grateful that so many from the community came out to show their support. And the young mothers that live at Zoe’s Place were thrilled to be a part of the fashion show and are very grateful to have some designer career clothing.”
