Be a savvy shopper and help vulnerable teens

(Paramus, NJ) February 21, 2014 -- Savvy Chic Consignment Boutique is hosting a grand relocation shopping celebration event on Thursday, March 20 from 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m., with a portion of all sales to benefit Zoe’s Place, a program of Children’s Aid and Family Services. The mission of Zoe’s Place is to provide safe, supervised housing for pregnant teens and teen moms and their children, and to meet the need for critical education, skills and support services that will enable the teens to become self-sufficient.

Now located at 30 Cottage Place in Ridgewood, NJ, the evening will feature complimentary hors d’oeuvres and drinks, a fashion show featuring young mothers that live at Zoe’s Place, giveaway of a designer handbag, cupcakes from Zoe’s Cupcake Café and gift bags. Additionally, shoppers may purchase outfits for the mothers to take with them and wear during job interviews. The event is being coordinated by Platinum Consulting.  If you are planning to attend, please RSVP to Latecia Smith at LSmith@cafsnj.org.

“We’re extremely grateful to Savvy Chic and Platinum Consulting for their generous support of our mission,” says Bob Jones, Ph.D., President & CEO of Children’s Aid and Family Services. “And the young mothers that live at Zoe’s Place are thrilled to be a part of the fashion show.”

Added Randi Morein, owner of Savvy Chic, “To celebrate opening our new location on Cottage Place I wanted to do something to give back to the community. This is a great opportunity for people in the community to shop, eat, have some fun and help vulnerable young mothers and their babies. We are thrilled to support Zoe’s Place.”

“As an event planner, it is always rewarding to meld the efforts of a business focused on giving back with a worthy organization,” says Linda Bradley of Platinum Consulting. “We look forward to a fun fashion event as well as raising great awareness for Zoe's Place, which is such a wonderful, safe home to vulnerable young mothers and their children."
