James is a happy and humorous youth who loves to play with blocks and toys that make noise.  James is autistic and is a non-verbal communicator, but he has no trouble getting his point across in conversation!  He uses a combination of sign language and hand gestures to communicate with his caregivers.  James learns quickly and is currently working on learning the days of the week, colors, shapes and seasons.  He engages well with adults and loves to be the center of attention!

James can thrive with one-on-one attention and would do best in a home where there are no other children.  With a patient and loving family that is committed to providing life-long care for James, he can certainly meet his full potential!
